Shootout 2 is a sequel of a sports event hosted last year December 2015 at Wonder Sports Complex, Queensland International School - Sakumono. It had a turn out of about 500 people who came to witness and participate in the event.
This year's edition we are expecting a greater turn out if not the same as last year's, at the premises of Queensland International School. The event is organized by Meteors Group, an emerging organization focused on uniting the youth in sports and entertainment.
There is going to be a football competition, basketball competition , video games' competition and other side attractions such as paintball, pool table games, music and stands that will be selling amazing stuff.
The football category comprises of under 18 and 18+ contests. Teams of players under 18 are required to pay a fee of GHc250 for winning prize of GHC1000. Contest is a knock-out between 16 teams that will lead to only one winner. This is same for 18+ contest except fee for registration is GHC300 for winning prize of GhC12000. Other prizes/certificates would be awarded for for individual performances such as Best Player, Goal King and Best GK. There is a special penalties' shootout competition for ladies to win up to 100c for completing 3/3 ienalties.
The basketball competition requires each team to pay a registration fee of GHc300 for Ghc1200 for the emerging winner. It's going to be an all play all competition and winner of the group takes he prize. MVP award would be awarded to get best individual performance.
The video game competition consists of Fifa 16, 2K16 and NFL 16. Participants are to pay GHC50, play and win up to 300c. There will be stands for interested gamers not part of the competition to play games of their choice.
The event is set to happen on the 6th August at Queensland international School. Competitions start at 8AM prompt. We are urging everyone and registered teams to show up early in order for the event to go perfectly as planned. Thank you.
